Case study · Coin dealer & grading

Canadian Coins & Collectibles

A PCGS and NGC authorized dealer with two Canadian locations and a live-show audience. Collectors needed to trust the site in the first five seconds, then find exactly how to submit a coin.

The brief

A vault, not a hobby shop.

Grading is an investment and a wrong submission wastes fees. The site had to feel authoritative, be useful every day, and explain the process step by step.

The dealer's customers are serious collectors of gold and silver who compare dealers across Canada, watch live Whatnot shows and check spot prices daily. They're deciding whether to trust someone with coins worth real money. A generic shop template signals the opposite of what this business is.

The design is gold on black, done quietly: precise type, coin photography given room, credentials in a strip under the hero. Live spot prices give collectors a reason to come back between purchases. The PCGS submissions page walks through the four steps from consultation to graded-and-returned, and every service ends in a booking.

  • PCGS submissions guideFour steps, book a consultation to graded and returned, written to remove the fear of doing it wrong.
  • Services with bookingPre-submission assessment, private collector consultation and submission handling, each ending in a consultation request.
  • Buy & Sell and an online shopA shop with checkout, success and cancel pages, and a buy-and-sell page for collectors with coins to move.
  • Media page and an articleA home for their live Whatnot shows, and "Is your coin worth grading?", written to rank for the question collectors ask first.
  • Two-location contact, privacy and termsThompson, Manitoba and Long Sault, Ontario, plus the legal pages a dealer handling shipments needs.

Highlights

What makes it work.

01

Useful every day

Spot prices and a melt-value calculator give collectors a reason to open the site daily. Return visits are how a dealer stays first in mind.

02

Trust in the first scroll

PCGS, NGC and CCC authorized dealer, twenty-plus years in numismatics, two locations, insured shipping. Stated up front, where a wary collector looks.

03

Gold and black, done quietly

It would be easy to make this gaudy. Restraint in type and spacing is what makes the photography and the credentials feel expensive.
